Challenge Your Beliefs

I love this scripture, “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” Proverbs‬ ‭20:27‬
‭At the end of February, I had an idea, a specific thought, and it challenged my heart. I followed my heart and heard this question, “do you really believe you can have that?” I had to search my belief, examine, and challenge myself, to know if I really believed it.
I realize that belief is action of the heart, not just mental acquaintance with truth or an idea. It’s not just what my mind accepts but my will must obey. I don’t truly believe unless my conviction is manifested in my life, so belief stands close to faith. Belief is a deep sense of trust by commitment to that thought or idea found in the Word of God. Belief is the foundation of life.
The most amazing thing is that my heart did have the answer and I did believe. If I failed in my pursuit of my belief, it’s just because I didn’t capture the idea and purposely follow it until I got the answer.
We are spirit beings, God’s spirit indwells us. He leads and guides us through our spirit. Communing with our own heart will give us the answer we are looking for. Now, if we just get happy and don’t follow up, it will die. To bring it to pass, I have to speak the truth of that idea through. Growth is keeping at it until we get it right.
