We Need Faith, Not Foolishness

We need faith not foolishness and a good dose of good ole common sense. It’s amazing how differently people are responding to the Coronavirus. One camp is motivated by faith the other is full of fear. I understand why people who are not believers in Christ would be in fear; a natural response to something you cannot control that has the ability to harm you is to be afraid of it.

On the other hand, we have believers “people of faith” who think it is okay to act like the virus is not real and that we should not change anything. Not taking any precautions at all is not faith, it’s foolishness. There is a ditch on either side of the road. I believe in the power of the blood of Jesus but that should not do away with common sense.

I think we would agree that the Apostle Paul was a person of great faith. In Acts 28, Paul got bitten by a poisonous snake and it did him no harm and things like that could happen to anyone. What we don’t see is Paul purposefully putting himself in harm’s way. I’m quite sure if he had seen the snake ahead of time, he would have kept his distance from it.

Our bodies have not as yet put on immortality therefore we must use some common sense and not put ourselves in harms way when we have a choice and are able to do otherwise. We have not been given the spirit of fear; but of power, love, and a sound mind. We have the power to overcome; love to remain in a safe place, and a sound mind to make good decisions.

Be Blessed,
